Face Appliqué Top + Cascading Scarves

Phenomenal custom creation from Harvey Krantz Hollywood, costume designer extraordinaire sought out by James Brown, the Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, Liberace, Bob Dylan and Isaac Hayes to name few.

This piece was custom made for Rose Marie Monroe, a former televangelist turned multi-level marketing make-up guru. I believe her make-up line was named after her and a special tag with silver chain-stitching bears her name on the interior as well.

Being that this is a Krantz original piece, it is bold and unusual: with asymmetric triangular cut-out neckline, massive (we're talking power shoulder level) shoulder pads, with bouffant sleeves that come to a teeny-tiny banded elastic cuff.

The top is loose fitting and blouse-y through the bodice with an elastic banded waist. The front of the shirt features a slightly larger than life-sized face appliqué, with dramatic brows and cupid's bow lips. She wears a turban or hair wrap of some kind, with braided fabric, studs and jewel embellishments. From her ear hangs a long swath of sheer chiffon scarves, the longest of which falls a few inches beneath the knee. More sheer scarves hang from he left shoulder.

The top is partially lined, in a pull-over style.

MATERIAL / Feels like cotton poly blend on the shirt material and nylon or synthetic fabric on the scarves. No fabric content tag present.

CONDITION / Very good, mild wrinkling to the surface of the appliqué face, otherwise excellent.
