Strange Potions Novelty Print Dress

I really don't know where to begin with the magical and unusual narrative print on this dress, so I'll return to it at closing and make you wade through all the other details on this dress first: like the fact that its both got an off-the-shoulder neckline ruffle AND also tie straps at each shoulder.

The bodice and chest of the dress are darted and semi-fitted, with a true waist and matching tie style belt. While the skirt is a series of three large ruffles that create tiers and flare out into a full silhouette. Lastly, the dress is unlined with a metal side zipper closure.

Alright, the print. I wish I could lead a slideshow to take you through the narrative that plays out across the fabric of this dress, but suffice to say it appears that the print follows the scientific discoveries of an apparent woman with absolutely dynamite 60s fashion sense: in her mod mini skirt, chic lab coat, sky high heels and enormous lavender bow tying back her bright, red hair.

The various vignettes on the fabric depict her at work in her lab, as well as being followed by two presumably older be-speckled scientists with red noses. The latter two are shown scuffling with each other, in what is presumably a botched attempt to steal her scientific secrets.

What seems like the final vignette in this strange series of events shows the woman standing in front of a fire, presumably burning all of the materials and evidence sought by the two tailing her.  It is such a wonderfully and spectacularly unusual fabric and dress; I really hope it resonates with someone out there.

COLOR / Ivory with multi-color print.

MATERIAL / Feels like cotton rayon blend.

CONDITION / Very Good, very mild areas of discoloration visible on very close inspection. Please see detail pictures.
