Rose Brocade and Velvet Gown
$ 275.00
Brand Embers / Cinders Vintage
This velvet and brocade 60's bombshell dress is drop dead gorgeous.
Here we have a sleeveless dress, with a velvet top and fitted bodice. The skirt of the gown is made of a lovely black brocade with a rose pattern over the top. The application of the print is really unusual: as if it they were hand painted/dyed roses in these dreamy brushstrokes of dye. It's absolutely gorgeous.
Dress has a large matching rose, that measures about 6 inches across that is made of coordinating rose-printed fabric. This detail is not removable and is actually sewn on to the bodice. The large rose also has two copper-colored, satin ribbons dangling from it.
The velvet bodice of the dresses is a dark olive green. It's sleeveless and has a very deep V front accented with the aforementioned a rose. Skirt is gathered at the top of the waist and floats away from the body in a column/maxi style.
It has a metal back zipper and still has the original union tags on it along with the order number and style. Dress appears to have been custom-made. It's in outstanding condition.
