Young Reflections Hooded Dress
Brand Young Reflections
Here we have a 70s dream by Tere Tereba for Young Reflections. Tereba had her start designing clothing for Pamela Courson's (Jim Morrison's long time girlfriend) Los Angeles boutique Themis and at the same time, started an apprenticeship designing for Young Edwardian.
This dress is in a later 70s style, made of slinky poly in a color-blocked shades of pastel blue. A chevron / shadow of a sweetheart neckline illusion decorates the dress bust.
A large dramatic hood hangs down the back of the dress and when worn over the head, opens a broad collar stretching all the way to the shoulders. It is disco drama befitting of riding a white horse entry to Studio 54.
The silhouette of the dress is narrow and fitted through the bust and waist, while floating away from the body at the hips and into a trumpet skirt. The fabric and cut of the skirt create a great deal of play and movement. A perfect dress for dancing.
The dress is a pull-over style, with no additional closures. It is unlined.
