Fuchsia Rainbow Lurex Maxi Dress
Brand POSH by Jay Anderson
This fabric puts the HOT in hot pink!
Here we have a 70s era party dress in a maxi length by POSH (Jay Anderson). The dress has elbow length sleeves with a boat neck collar and true, fitted waist.
The bodice has a relaxed, blousy fit and roomy tailoring around the bust. As mentioned, the waist is fitted and has no give, while gathers flare out from just below the waist and flare out into a full skirt.
My favorite feature of this dress is the semi-sheer fabric of the bodice. It is a bold fuchsia color with rainbow colored sparkling lurex thread woven throughout to form an abstracted geometric pattern, or sketchy diamond pattern with polka-dots in-between.
The skirt is also the same striking fuchsia color, but the fabric of the skirt is much more substantial, as you may notice from the drape in the picture. This feels and looks to be a Moiré Taffeta with a fair amount of structure to it. Where many of our other chiffon dresses offer a flirty movement, this somewhat retains its shape with movement.
The dress has a nylon coil center back zipper closure and is lined, except for portions of the sleeve which are left semi-sheer.
